Libby is an actor from Broadway, Virginia and is currently based in New York City. She typically plays kind-hearted, emotionally aware characters who carry a bit of comedy with them. Libby is not shy to bend the barriers of gender and illusion and her physical work and training greatly supports that. Every character speaks to at least one person and like humans, they transform and grow and that is the greatest gift of an actor; to grow through a character and to grow through one-self.

 

Having trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (2023) and their additional Company Program (2024), Libby has an excellent actor toolbox that consists of Voice and Speech (IPA, Linklater), Alexander Technique, Movement (Lucid Body, Lecoq, Universal Mask), and Acting training (Meisner, Hagen). Since graduating, she has also studied and worked on Niki Flack’s Acting with Passion.

 

Credits include Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night (Aguecheek) and Romeo and Juliet (Benvolio) as well as Men on Boats (Major Powell), Hearts Like Planets (Hummingbird/Verna), and Everybody (Usher/God/Understanding). Currently, she has been involved with several readings and devised developments with First Kiss Theatre Company, Kitchen Sink Theatre Company, Piper Theatre Productions, and Purple Duck Films. Libby also founded Storytelling Across where she directs (and occasionally writes) short scenes with actors and writers across the world.

 

Outside of the creative world, Libby loves coloring pages, finding a great few songs and repeating them (currently a lot of Baker Boy, Bernard Fanning, and GenZ Pop), locking eyes with every dog she sees, and doing her best to enjoy this life with her friends and family.
